Рафаэль Блот и его небольшая команда из 5 яхтсменов-любителей на своем 60-футовом крейсерском катамаране вторым пересек финишную линию в в недавно завершившейся гонке Гонконг-Вьетнам, уступив первенство 90-футовому макси-следу с экипажем из 20 профессионалов на борту, оставив позади 3 гоночных машины ТР-52.
Вот что Рафаэль пишет нам о прошедшей гонке:
We sailed the 660 miles in 49h30mns. Nobody expected us to finished ahead of the TP52 in a downhill race. In Nha Trang, all crews were complaining about how wet of a ride it was, bailing water from inside the boat all the way down. The helmsman had to be attached for fear of being washed off the helm on a Ker 40. The automatic life jacket of one crew of the TP52 Free Fire activated when he was down below!!!!! The only time we were showered on was when we took proper showers….Unlike everybody on the monohulls, we didn't put the foul weather gear, shorts and T Shirts only. They had a rough time, we had good food and red wine sailing at 20-25kts. We reached top speeds above 30kts.
